The Model EL4F is an all mechanical lift truck attachment that utilizes automatic clamping mechanisms to handle from one to four drums at a time without any hydraulic or electrical connections to the lift truck. The EL4F is ideal for palletizing drums or unloading trailers. Simply position the center guide over the four drums, lower and lift. Once the drums are gripped, the clamping mechanisms safely secure the drums in place for transportation over dock plates and other unlevel surfaces.

To release the drums, fully lower the drums onto a pallet or floor then elevate the center guide upward.The frame of the EL4F aids the operator in approaching the drums before lowering the attachment to grip the drums.  The EL4F has a floating head with centering guide which helps position the clamping mechanism into position.

The Model EL4CB has lifting loops instead of fork pockets for use on hoists and cranes.  All specifications are the same for both the EL4CB and EL4F models.  The Model EL4CB-SRC has all surfaces and parts which could contact a drum manufactured in stainless steel eliminating the potential for sparks.

SRC OPTION:  All metal surfaces which can contact a drum being lifted or released are non-ferrous stainless steel with non-sparking alloy clamping jaws.

The Eagle-Grip™ 3 Series of lift truck attachments utilize a heavy duty Eagle-Grip™ single automatic clamping mechanism for handling steel and plastic drums in high volume applications. The clamping mechanisms are completely mechanical requiring no hydraulic or electrical connections. Positive actions jaws insure safe transporting of drums without damage to drum chimes. Carriage mounted models are available to mount directly on the carriage of most lift trucks.

Fork mounted models enable lift truck operators to install/remove the attachment in seconds without any tools. Totally enclosed fork pockets with attached safety chain and cam lock secures the attachment to the lift truck.

The top of the line Eagle-Grip™ 4 Series of lift truck attachments incorporates heavy-duty Eagle-Grip™ double articulating clamping mechanisms for handling any steel, plastic or fiber chimed drums in high volume applications. These attachments provide the safest available method of lifting and transporting any chimed drum with a lift truck. The clamping mechanisms are completely mechanical requiring no hydraulic or electrical connections. Each drum is gripped with two upper and lower jaws in heads which are spaced about 6 inches apart. The swivel action of the Eagle-Grip™ 4 Series is operator friendly permitting pickup of misaligned or slightly separated drums. The Eagle-Grip™ 4 Series is strongly recommended when handling fiber and plastic drums in excess or 600 lbs. and light gauge open head steel drums.

The Eagle-Grip™ 2 Series of lift truck attachments utilize a light duty double articulating automatic clamping mechanism for handling any size steel, plastic or fiber chimed drum. All Eagle-Grip™ clamping mechanisms are completely mechanical, requiring no electrical or hydraulic connections to the lift truck. The articulating or swivel feature of the EG2 heads permit pickup of drums that are misaligned and slightly separated from one another. Standard belt bases support the lower side of the drum, eliminating dents or cosmetic marring. Optional non-sparking clamps are available for handling drums in hazardous areas. The totally enclosed fork pockets and OSHA require safety chain allows the operator to secure the attachment to the lift truck in seconds. This model is available as a single drum attachment, double drum attachment and as a carriage mount that fits all lift trucks and walkie stackers. Capacity: 1000 lb/ 453 kg per drum.

The Eagle-Grip™ 1 series of lift truck attachments utilize a light duty single automatic clamping mechanism for handling any size steel or plastic chimed drum. All models are knockdown units which bolt together, but are typically shipped assembled and ready for use. The fork pockets and safety chain provide a quick and easy installation to any lift truck. All EG1 models are recommended for light duty applications and not intended for use in high volume drum handling. The model EG1SCM-CM is a carriage mount model that can fit any ITA class II carriage or walkie stacker. For walkie stacker applications, please specify the brand and type of carriage. Optional belts are available to eliminate any cosmetic damage to the lower side of the drum.

The MORSPEED 1000 ^TMforklift attachment allows you to grab, lift, move and place a drum in minimum time without leaving your fork truck. Raise and lower the forks to grab and release the drum.

The steel jaws are contoured to securely grasp the drum's upper rim. They are completely mechanical and automatic. They grip on the way up by engaging the lower jaw under the drum rim, and continuing to lift. They release when weight is taken off the jaws by setting the drum on the floor, pallet, etc. The forklift operator just raises and lowers the forks, and drives forward and back as necessary.

MORSPEED 1000 ^TM drum handlers work with straight walled drums or even deformed ribs, since they do not depend on the drum ribs or friction. They do not require any modification to your truck.

Forklift drum handler has Spark Resistant Parts

Contact parts of the head and jaws that grip drum, and backrest, are made of spark resistant monel. Spark resistant parts reduce the possibility of mechanical sparks. They are not a substitute for grounding and bonding to prevent static discharge.
